Star of the Week

Last week, Zoie was the "Star of the Week". She was the teacher helper, line leader and was able to bring a snack and a show-n-tell item (a stuffed dog named Penny & a stuffed cat). When I came to school to take a photo of her star of the week board, I surprised her in the cafeteria while she was eating breakfast with her "big kid" friend.

Lunchtime . . . so everyday when Zoie comes home from school, I check her lunch box to see what she eat in her lunch. Lately, she has been eating nothing. So as we confronted her daily, she finally admitted that all she does for the 20 minutes at lunch is TALK!

It is possible she naturally comes by her "talking" all the time from her Nana' who always got in trouble at school for talking too much. She is a super star!!

Love the pics of the giant carrots!!

Wow, those carrots are totally amazing! And my kids do the same thing at lunch. I wish they would give them more than 20 minutes so they could actually talk and eat and enjoy themselves. My kids are sort of slow eaters, so they have to literally stuff it down in order to finish in time.

Love the pix and narration. Zoie, she is a prize. We heard all about her being a "star," when we realized to bring something for show and tell you of course had to be a star. I love this girl. She tried to give me a "red card" last week. Knowing that it meant someone had to go home, I asked her where she was going to send me. The quizical look and realization was way too much fun. I loved the, "Oh, you're already home." She is just awesome.

PS, Nana, I have to admit that she also gets a dose of gad from this side too, lol.

Ahhhh! A girl after my own heart. Next to eating, talking was my favorite pastime. Zoie, I love you.
