Zoie's dance recital is on Wednesday, June 24 and Friday, June 26. Both shows are at 7pm.
The recital is at Skagit Valley Community College's McIntyre Hall.
Tickets are available at McIntyre Hall, 360-416-7727 or mcintyrehall.org
Tickets for the Wednesday show are $15,$12,or $20.
Tickets for the Friday show are $20,$15, or $30.
I don't know if dance recital tickets are a hot commodity, so I don't know how early you need to get tickets if you want to go.
I'll go to both shows. On Wednesday, though, I will be traveling back from Pasco from a conference that I am presenting at. I am sure Ty's attendance may be weather dependent.

My little skater
Both kids can put on these inline skates by themselves. After his bath, Vance put on the "fast" skates and wondered around the house. Do parents really influence what their kids do? Yes. My enjoyment of skating has been past onto them. Now, I don't walk around naked with my skates on, but I do remember wearing my skates in the house as a kid and doing jumps and spins in my parents' kitchen.

Happy Rainy Easter!
Happy Rainy Easter for the GREAT Northwest! The harder it rained, the further Vance rode the tiny Winnie the Pooh bike. I think he rode the bike through EVERY puddle in our circular driveway. A warm bath of course is just you need after playing in the rain. Well, that almost turned into a disaster. I turned the water on low to fill up the tub.Ty came by and turned up the speed. I was talking to my mom on the phone and finally came back to the bathroom and the water was an inch from overflowing. Vance never made a peep. Of course.

Magical Chickens
Easter Sunday we got a call from the neighbors that their chickens had laid easter eggs! Vance wasn't too excited to go -- he was ready for a nap. But once we got there, it was great! We found 5 eggs. And the chickens are so talented that they even wrote on the eggs. Each kid had an egg with their name on it. Thanks Ray & Margaret!

A Car Ride to School
On Wednesday, Vance, as usual, rode with me to get Zoie at pre-school. On this day, he took a black pip squeak washable marker and a small notebook. I am not sure how much he wrote in the book, but he loves to color on himself. I love washable markers!
The inside of his hands were also colored. I only noticed this when I laid him in this bed to finish up the nap that he began in the car.

Tired Vance
Vance is getting harder to put down for naps. That's OK, just means he should go to bed eariler, but the little pill doesn't like to go to bed. Tonight, we came out of his room and sat with me as I was nursing Arya. (Imagine me on the right of the chair) Vance sat with us, poked Arya's head, folded her ear, pulled her hair, then the dark eyelashes began to close and his head fell onto Arya. He was out. Somehow I scooted out the chair and he remained still. One exhausted little boy.

Coloring eggs & egg hunt @ Nana's
After skating on Tuesday, we went to Nana's to color eggs & find eggs. We did this today because she is getting her tonsils out on Wednesday. Aunt Dutchie, Dennis, Ken & Aubree came over too. At first Vance did mot want to color the eggs, but once Zoie showed him what they looked like, he was excited. Once all the eggs were colored once, they began to redip them and then the fun began. Vance would put this hands in the cups and say "No egg here. No egg here." But he was thrilled to find an egg in a cup that Zoie "hid" for him. After we cleaned up, mom had hid eggs in the yard before we got there. So we took the Easter baskets and headed outside in the sunshine. Zoie quickly found most of the eggs but shared with Aubree & Vance. It was so excited Vance wanted to hid the eggs again. So we went to the bush and dumped out his basket. Great hiding Vance! Zoie walked around the base of the tree and sprinkled her eggs on the ground to "hid" them. It was a fun afternoon.

Spring has arrived!
Alexia's Easter party
Our friend Mandy & her 2 kids put on their 3rd annual Easter egg party at the rink on Sunday. Vance, surprisingly, was the first to put on skates. Altough he never made it out to the floor, he wandered all around with them on. ( It's OK he isn't on the floor. Someday he will get out there, just like some day he will eat more than cereal, pasta, strawberries & bananas).
