Day 2 of the GREAT Adventure
On Day 2 of our trip, we travelled from Butte, MT to Yellowstone National Park and stayed at the Canyon Lodge, thanks to Ty. I planned to sleep in a campground, but after taking an hour to pack up from the previous night I am sure glad Ty called about getting a room. The kids enjoyed splashing in the bath tub and a cafeteria style dinner. We were even graced with a bison outside of our lodge throughout the evening and he was even there in the morning.

This was the first "animal sighting". So I grabbed the 3 kids and we got out to look from the bridge. Bad idea -- an elk and its baby had been snacking at a picnic table and then decided to cross the road within 50 yards of us. I was a little freaked but there were plenty of park rangers there and lots of stopped cars and lookee louies, just like me!

Baby Arya sleeps through dinner in the cafeteria -- it was very warm. Poor thing.

Our GREAT Adventure
So I just returned from a week vacation with my 3 kids. We traveled through Montana, Yellowstone National Park and to our final destination, the Snell's in Casper Wyoming. It was a great time with the van packed up and stuffed with everything a 4 & 2 year old could need for a long road trip. Even on the way, Baby Arya got her first tooth.

Being a mom . . . . .
When you are a mom, you are busy. But when you have 3, you are much busier -- ALL the time. So you learn to do things the cheap & quick way. Like cutting your kids hair at home. I bought a haircut kit a while ago when Vance was getting shaggy and I didn't want to pay $16 for another hair cut. So my $16 got me all I need to trim & buzz and away we go looking sharp.
Princess Zoie with long hair. . .

Look mom I can cut it myself. I was OK with that while I was in there. . . But I had to step out of the bathroom to get Arya and when I came back --- OH NO!!!! Look in the picture below and you will see a large chunk cut out. I left it there cause it is quite short. Now she can tell and show everyone where she cut her own hair. What a nice mom I am! Honestly, I just chuckled about it.
Zoie's hair has been getting long for the past 9 months. Until tonight. . . And she even help! Ugh!
