Chelsea tagged me. . ..

So here are my answers. Like Jade said, I don't want to be the one who doesn't play along.

What is his name? Ty Carl Youngren

How long have you been together? Since October 1999. After a year, I left for Kentucky to finish school and returned the following May and we were married that August.

Who said I love you first? Probably Ty. He had bugged me for weeks to come over to his house after work for dinner. I kept saying no cause I was kinda involved with someone else. Finally I said yes to a steak dinner, potatoes and veggies at 4am and have never left since. (Ty and I worked together bartending for several years. For the first year, we worked every shift together. It was great -- besides getting to be with him, we worked very well together. We closed the bar together every Sunday night. And when we weren't working, we were snowboarding, biking or eating out)

Who is taller? Ty, by about 13 inches. I hope the kids are taller than me too!

Who can sing better? No me. I am only the best singer when it is me alone in the car.

Who is smarter? I have book smarts and not a good memory. Ty is "street" smart and has book smarts too but uses them less than me.

Who does the laundry? Me. Since I don't want my work clothes shrunk or the new cloth diapers ruined, I wash, dry, fold, & put away the clothes.

Who does the dishes? Whirlpool, thedishwasher now that we have a new kitchen (fall 06), but we share the handwashing duties

Who sleeps on the right side? Me.

Who mows the lawn? I like to push the mower, and Ty rides the mower that always has a flat tire with the kids, so we both do. In the summer, I like to do it for Ty since he has bad allergies and likes to relax when he comes home from work and I am home all day.

Who cooks dinner? Both of us. I probably do more since I get home first and am home all summer. I used to stink as a cook, but I have gotten better over the years.

Who drives? I should, but I have making the decisions of where to go, so I left Ty drive more often than not.

Who is a better driver? Me.

Who is more stubborn? Probably me. Things bother me more than Ty.

Who kissed who first? I think Ty kissed me in my car. I really don't remember. . . that's not good. I 'll ask him and see what he says.

Who proposed? No one; it was kinda assumed. After I packed up the Honda and Ty to move back to school (Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green KY), we stopped in jewelry shop in South Dakota and got some similar black hills gold rings. But it was not an engagment ring -- more like promise rings. But I think an official asking may have come on the day after Thanksgiving (Nov 2000), when Ty surprised me and bought a ring. It was exactly what I wanted to!

Who has more friends? Ty. Although we both grew up here, I am an introvert. I am a home body and prefer family and my few close friends. Having worked in the bar industry for so many years, Ty knows EVERYONE and they miss seeing him out.

Who is more sensitive? Me.

Who has more siblings? Since Ty is the only child, it would have to be me. I have a younger brother, by 15 months, Paul. He's a good guy!

Thanks for making me play! I hope everyone can come up to our house so all the kids can play togehter. Our house is so big that everyone is welcome to stay here.

Carrie, this is great. Right now I'm wiping away tears, but I think it's twofold, laughter and I'm just in from treating Bill to a freshly mowed lawn, while he tuned up Craig's '65 Ranchero. I think Ty gave me allergies, ha. Guess I better get crackin' on my response. Oma Jean
